After 13 years of honorable service, including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, this veteran is ready to find a new kind of peace on the open road. For him, riding represents more than transportation—it’s a chance to breathe, reflect, connect with God, and find the same sense of freedom he once found through surfing. With physical limitations keeping him from the water, a motorcycle offers a new way to experience nature, clear his mind, and manage the stresses of everyday life. He hopes that peace will not only make a difference for him, but also positively impact his life as a husband and father.

After four years of honorable service in the U.S. Air Force, including deployment to Southwest Asia during Desert Storm, this veteran continued a life of service as a firefighter and EMT for more than a decade. From serving his country to responding to emergencies in his community, helping others has been a significant part of his life. Living with PTSD, he sees riding as an opportunity to decompress, clear his mind, and find a healthy escape from the stresses of everyday life. A motorcycle offers more than time on the open road—it provides a sense of freedom, peace, and an important outlet for his mental and physical well-being.
What is Wheels 4 Warriors (W4W) PNW?
Goal: Matching a suitable Veteran with what they need to become a motorcyclist, or help a former rider return to the sport. Bringing W4W to the Pacific Northwest; this program was first launched with our sister chapter CVMA® 41-1 in southern Nevada. Those who ride know how good motorcycling is for the soul. Riding requires total focus, situational awareness, keeps your head on a swivel. When we ride, many of the things that weigh so heavily on our minds slip away for a moment, permitting us to concentrate on the riding. After the ride is over, we may find the clarity to focus on other challenges and sometimes find pathways to solutions. CVMA® 29-2 has a mission to raise enough funds and partner with local businesses for our next W4W giveaway. If you know of a serviceable bike, or one that can be made serviceable with a little work, please reach out to us. We will need financial support to make this happen. If you are interested in applying for 2027, please click the button below to email us. If selected, they will participate in an interview with CVMA® chapter members. If accepted, the recipient receives a used but serviceable motorcycle, riding gear, motorcycle safety classes (to become Motorcycle Endorsed).* The recipient will provide the time, effort, attitude and desire to do some cycle therapy, at first with a mentor, then with a group and finally solo. There is NO OBLIGATION to join our organization. This program is ONLY for Oregon Veteran residents. *Some conditions will apply.
